Appetite for Disruption: Atlanta

On Monday, September 15, 2014, The Wall Street Journal and GE Capital hosted the second event in the Appetite for Disruption: Perspectives from the Middle Market series at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta. More than 135 attendees were presented with an all-access pass, which allowed them to select their favorite college football team before engaging with interactive displays and experiences. Guests then gathered on the indoor 45-yard replica football field, where a dedicated Storyful wall displayed aggregated social media feeds.

The program began with a WSJ. Custom Studios-produced sizzle reel before Dan Henson, President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital, Americas, welcomed everyone and provided an overview for the evening. Later, National Football League and Major League Baseball legend Deion Sanders sat down for a conversation with Neeraj Mehta, President and Chief Executive Officer, GE Capital, Commercial Distribution Finance.

Other speakers included General Michael Hayden, former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Administration; Tom Stewart, Executive Director of the National Center for the Middle Market; Tom Gentile, President and Chief Operating Officer of GE Capital; and Amadeus Stevenson, Chief Technology Officer of Decoded.
